TMS Implementation
A TMS implementation for a transport company
For a transport company, a Transport Management System (TMS) was selected and implemented. In this context, the organisation lacked the time and expertise to manage the project as both project manager and key user.
Approach
ollowing the selection, an implementation project was initiated. This included a strong focus on frequent communication, a structured project plan with clear timelines and responsibilities, the identification of key stakeholders, risk management, and clearly defined project deliverables.
During the implementation, the system setup was developed and closely monitored in collaboration with the supplier. In addition, special attention was given to training and coaching to turn resistance into motivation.
Result
A successful implementation in which the core processes were migrated to the new system in phases. Smaller subprojects (settlements and reporting) were identified and are being executed in a structured, step-by-step (two- and three-stage) approach.
